Coronavirus: Amazon Blocks Non-Essential Items From Warehouses

Amazon is briefly refusing to certain stock items in its warehouses, to cope with the overwhelming demand for household basics due to the coronavirus pandemic. It suggests third-party sellers of non-essential items could find it hard to ship orders to customers. The move will last till 5 April and cover warehouses in Europe and the US. Few items – including many types of toilet paper – stay out of stock on Amazon’s UK website. The news were making rounds that Oppo was working on a wearable with more than a passing similarity to the Apple Watch, but now the Oppo Watch has been publicized in full, together with the Oppo Find X2, and the wearable comes complete with a sharp and large OLED screen. The largest, 46mm model has a 473 x 402 resolution and 326 pixels per inch and display is 1.91 inches. Criminals can watch baby monitors and smart cameras over the internet by default, security chiefs notify. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is cautioning people to adjust the settings after buying them. Easy-to-guess default passwords might permit a hacker to see a home via connected devices secretly, it said. Smart technology keeps getting tinier. There are smartwatches, smartphones and now, smart rings, devices that let someone use simple finger gestures to run other technology. Researchers from the University of Washington have made AuraRing, a ring and wristband combination that can detect the exact location of someone’s index finger and regularly track hand movements. The ring releases a signal that can be picked up on the wristband, which can then detect the position and orientation of the ring — and the finger it’s connected to.
